Welcome to 2010, another year of exciting musical and creative opportunities! Band auditions are underway, Junior and Senior Choir will be starting mid-way through this term, and class Music and Maori days have begun.  

The school-wide music focus this term is Singing, with a focus on singing in groups and performance. Senior students will be approaching this from a 'Glee' style angle, looking at how popular songs can be arranged in musically interesting ways.  

The Senior School Maori focus  this term is talking about 'likes' and 'dislikes', including discussing favourite sports and foods.  Junior students are focusing on instructions, colours and counting in Maori.

I am looking forward to another fun and creative year at Riverhead School. Watch this space for future updates.
