Out of Zone Enrolments 2026

Out of Zone applications are now open for Years 3-8s for 2026.

Each August the Riverhead School Board of Trustees reviews the intake of in zone enrolments and decides how many (if any) spaces in each year level will be available for our Out of Zone placements for the following school year. This year we are open to taking 10 Out of Zone enrolments for each level from Year 3 to 8 for 2026. 

All Out of Zone students due to start school in 2026 MUST be in the ballot by 8th October 2025.

Applications will close on Wednesday 8th October 2025. No further applications can be taken after this date.

The ballot draw  for 2026 will be held on Wednesday 15 October 2025. All applicants will be advised of the results by email by Wednesday 29 October 2025.

Ballot Priorities:

The priority order of this ballot, as per the Education and Training Act 2020, is as follows:

Priority 1 must be given to any applicant who is the sibling of a current student of the school

Priority 2 must be given to any applicant who is the sibling of a former student of the school

Priority 3 must be given to any applicant who is the child of a former student of the school

Priority 4 must be given to any applicant who is the child of an employee or a member of the board of the school

Priority 5 must be given to all other applicants
